MHS Aluminum Sleeve material Etch Issue

Trying to etch the sleeve material avail. in TCSS Store, but only the inside is reacting to the solution. Am I doing something wrong?

The sleeve material has a coating you will need to sand off. It’s pretty tedious so if you can, make a jig and spin with a power drill while gripping it with sand paper.
