Making the most of the CFX

There's a few features in CFX that I haven't been able to figure out how to trigger, i.e. the "Combo" sound fonts, "Stab", and "Drag".
With the "Drag" does it need to strike a hard surface to engage, like activating "Clash"? I attempted to stab in a forward gesture / motion and it didn't activate.

Usually you hit the floor with it. You also have to make sure you have the drag angels set properly.
