I'm building my second saber. First saber I built was Korbanth Ls6 with NBv4. This current one, I have everything wired up. The BBW cree is not lighting up.
Is there something I need to change in the config file for the Cree to light up? I have blue 1 (L1) Blue 2 (L2) and white to (L3). I may have to wire white to (L4) for FOC?
Thanks in advance

No you don’t have to wire th FoC to L4. What firmware version are you running (if you know). If not, please post the contents of your main configuration file.

I'm getting all sound fx. I can scroll thru the menu and change sound fonts.

I need the config from the root directory. The strippower= line specifically.

Would I download Docklight. de to be able to access root directory? I'm using a PC

Hey tw0leftskis

There is a ledstrip value in the “config” file. That’s what we need; no fancy program needed just open with your notepad application.

No, you don’t need anything special. You should be able to open it with notepad, just like what you showed me, only I need to see the WHOLE file. Not just snippets.

I didn't realize there were more files to the config

led strip=0

Can you verify that your battery is charged, resistors are correctly sized (http://http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?17109-Tutorial-FJK-s-quot-Down-and-Dirty-quot-guide-to-Ohm-s-Law), and that your LED does in fact work?

yes battery is fully charged. when I change the ledsteip=to 1. as soon as I turn main switch on. power is applied to the board and leds lights up.
with ledstrip=1. it works dependant on the main on/off Switch. activation switch does not control the cree

I got the correct resistors per TCCS calculator.

I have the positive wire of leds wired directly to the positive of the board/battery

I also checked L1 L2 L3 pad on board and I'm getting power @ the pads

That wasn’t the value I asked about.

Set the following values to what I have listed below, and it should work.

strippower=0000
ledstrip=0

*EDIT* Go with what FJK is telling you, he knows his stuff and I’m just throwing ideas out to see if any may help. All good in my books

Ok. Just to clarify, you did get the main LED to light up but it is controlled by the kill-switch to the activation switch? It sounds like you may have switch wiring issue more than an LED wiring issue. Do you have a wiring diagram you could share with us?

ledstrip = “0” usually means the board is in high power LED mode. Changing to “1” is essentially telling the board you are using a ledstrip with one pixel in it AFAIK. Meh, if it works it works right?

I have the positive wire of leds wired directly to the positive of the board/battery That is wired correctly as per the manual.

No, that’s NOT quite how this works.

OK let me set up the parameter as u suggested

What's does the strippower 0000 parameter tell the circuit board?

Strippower basically tells the board if you’re using Neopixels or LEDs. 0000=LEDs, 1111=Neopixel
