Vader ESB end cap wont tighten

I am in the process of converting my vader to a lux when I noticed that the end cap wont tighten, I have another vader and it seems to tighten no problem...I guess it may be stipped, but it was like that when I got it last christmas...is there anywhere I can possibly get jus a new cap?

you could drill and tap a set screw to hold it in place

does the cap just spin? or is it cross threaded? check to see which threads are dammaged. I have an extra cap for a vader.

yes the cap just spins if i replace it with one from my other saber it will tighten...so i assume it must be the cap that is stripped.
