Does anyone know where I can find a pipe cutter large enough for the 1.5" sink tubes? And that doesn't cost an arm & a leg?

I use a chop saw with a metal cutting blade. Works great and it never hurts to have a chop saw around.

LOL - that's just LITTLE beyond my means. I'd love to have one, but money and space are both big factors.

I use a band saw but At lowes or hd in the plumbing dept there is a pipe cutter for $30.00 not sure brand though. Remember the sink tube is brass so a regular hand held type u spin around the pipe works like a dream leaving a sweet and straight cut.

Oh yeah, I am totally expecting to get one of those small manual cutters, but I can't seem to find any that are big enough. All the ones I've found so far, top out at 1 1/4".

Now, I did find a style big enough (online), but they wanted over $100!!! Forget THAT!

The one i saw was adjustable up to 2". It was yellow and black in color. I got mine from a plumber bud who had a few laying around. I want to say it was made by RIDGID(the one at Home Depot).

Ah, sweet! I just went to the HomeDepot website, and found one for $20! I'll check some stores tomorrow. Wish me luck.

You found one for only $20? I think I paid $25 for mine I got from Lowes. [V]

Funny how the price jumps from around $5 for the one that goes up to 1 1/4" to $15-20 more for the next size! [:0] [xx(]

Mine came from Lowes - $30. I wonder why the difference as well.

I bought the $20 cutter from Home Depot, but it didn't work very well for me. I returned it and bought the one at Lowes for $25.

$20-30 from Home Depot or Lowe's.
Mine is Red and Black and comes with a second blade for cutting PVC as well.
