battery question

Hi guys just wondering if its safe to solder on the JST connector to a 18650 3500mAh Protected Li-Ion Battery? I'm in Australia and cant seem to find them for sale with the wires connected. Also most companies cant ship these from OS.

Wrong forum section. Ill advised to solder onto lithium ion batteries. See if there is a business local to you that can spot weld leads on batteries, or use a MHS V6 chassis with 18650 holder. JST connectors are a point of weakness, and many just cut them off for installs anyway. If you don't want to use the MHS V6 chassis, you will have to find someone or a business to tack on leads onto your battery.
