Hello,

after finishing my first saber (https://imgur.com/a/MBTcc) I started to plan my second saber :D
I want to use the Pico Crumble and want a really nice orange blade, something like this: http://starwarsjediroleplay.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Orange_Lightsaber?file=Orange_lightsaber_ by_nerfavari-d51snn6.jpg
I know that this is no real LED but it's the color I'm looking for.
I plan to use a Tri Cree LED, going PCAmber/PCAmber/White for a nice FOC. Will this even work with a Pico Crumble? Has anyone real life examples of a orange lightsaber? The pictures I find on the internet differ to much, so I can't form an opinion.

Cheers!

Definitely not PC Amber, that is yellow leaning toward green. Amber is more of a golden color leaning toward orange. You might try Amber in combination with Red or Red Orange. If you get the "amber enhanced" blade it will light up really nicely in the amber to red range.

The saber in my signature (and the pics in the linked post) is an orange blade with mixing Amber and Red (with white FOC).
Both Amber and Red dies are resistored to give max current (I did not intentionally make any die weaker for mixing purposes).

In my pics, it doesn’t quite show how, in real life, it is ORANGE orange. The “roleplay” link looks more gold/orange to me in comparison.
You could use additional resistance to dim the red die, and get a color closer to what you want. Madcow did a basic color mixing YouTube tutorial that explains how to tinker with resistors to get the color you desire.

Goodness knows how well this link will work now, but this is a fairly colour accurate photo of a tri-Cree PC-amber:

More yellow than orange.
