Review"
I first found about Plecter Labs from fellow Jediarchives saber master Xwingband
I was just blown away when I see all the things the Plecter Labs sabers can do..
Things like saber flicker, blaster reflect, saber lock sound, hilt rumble, and the ability to customize the saber sounds in on a sd card!!! just to name some..

I was lucky enough to get what I think is the very first one to reach Amarica..

after having it 2 days here are my thoughts

The saber is just beautiful, and the machining of the hilt feels so solid and strong.
It is lighter then any MR saber I have (great for spins it is)

When you turn it on the first thing you notice is how piercing loud the ignite and idle hum are.
The you are pleasantly greeted with rumbling of the hilt (kind of like a game controller but more suttle) that matched the idle hum

Then you swing it and see the swing motion detectors are frigen DEAD ON,I mean super on point.
It has aslight pulse flicker to blade like a real lightsaber does and that looks SO LOVELY

Then need the top of the hilt there is a button that when pressed triggers the saber lock and blaster deflect effects..
The Luxeon glow is very bright,as much so or more then a stock MR (mine is a LUX3)
But unlike other Luxeon sabers it actually has a ignite and retract sequence effect

This is basically every thing I could have wished for in a FX at Plecter Labs for pushing Luxion sabers WAY past what I even ever dreamed of..

But I can tell you my initial impressions are OMG and WOW

It came with the ROTJ movie sounds I always loves..
The motion detection is light years ahead of the stock Fx ..
The rumble feels incretible..
Dam I'm loving this..
Looks great with my ultra fiber optic blade too..
Plecter Labs rules!!!

The first fully made one from Erv, Firebird. I do think you had yours done well before Kit got his.

What do you mean by "The first fully made one"? Are you talking about the saber or the board? Or am I more lost than I think.

BTW KF, nice review!

Hey Kit,

Great lookin' saber! Congrats again... A few questions for you on your Plecter... oh and by the way, hope to see you at C4!!! I'm dyin' to meet the man in the bandanna. hahahah :)

1. What is the battery setup? Voltage, cell amount, etc.

2. You have the vibration motor in there??? Sweet... does it suck the juice from the batteries fairly badly? Corbin mentioned his always seemed to, although Erv's may be very different... don't know.

3. About how long does the saber last on a charge cycle--given "natural" usage... i.e. you turn it on, swing it around, play with it a bunch...

I've already ordered a board from Erv, and plan to install it into a custom designed TCSS & sink tube hybrid... so I suppose I'll find out more very soon!

You have so much room to be able to twirl like that inside!!! OMG!

I can't swing anything inside, I always end up hitting something. it sucks for saber training.

Oh, nice video by the way. thanks for sharing.

nice video indeed. I can twerl in my room seignas I have only a 7'tall celing I just have to keep my saber lower.

When iam at my brothers house I would do a couple simple spins and every now and then I would tap his chandalear(sp) Ive hit it about 4 or so times and neber broke anything he hits it one and shatters one of the glass parts that go around hte bulb.

Someone needs a shave and a haircut. :P

I need to wire mine up as it is... but since the V2 is coming I figure I need a new saber to house it in. Or I'll figure out a swap and part up my duo set.

Whatever... I need to e-mail Erv on batteries anyway. I know Nova asked for other configs but I'm thinking of a single 18650 for a Red LED.

Mars... actually there ISN'T much room, lol.

As to the spins--well, I was just screwing around... spins are nice, but not all that important IMHO. For staged combat. To me, they're about 5% of the whole shebang, ya know?

As to my facial hair, yeah I figured to grow it out... literally for BOP II. Fun. I don't like it all that much but hey after all the performances are over... I can cut it. Won't need it for BOP III.... :!: 8)

As for a single 3.6v on a red with a Plecter--I wouldn't recommend it X-Wing. Much like Corbin's board, it's better if you give it some REAL voltage and allow the board to regulate it into some yummy current.

Then again--it might run... much like Corbin's driver ran many of the BOP I Lux III sabers on single 3.6v batteries. Problem is... not getting the most out of the LED. Oh well.

Erv and I found some good info on running his board with this configuration and that... will PM ya, X-wing...

And LOL @ Jesus and the lightning, hahahah
