Speaker Holder V5 lip question

I was wondering if the lip of the speaker holder would be enough to hold a chassis in place instead of a disk that is held between the male/female connection. If not, is there another way to accomplish it in a similar fashion?

It can be. It depends on the rest of your chassis, and how welll you secure everything.
