Forgive the noob question, but I've been searching the forums for my scenario without coming across it yet.

I'm using MWS parts and a NBv3. My power source is a single 3.7V 18650 battery. The LED I've chosen, Green Cree XP-E2, has a forward voltage of 3.7V @ 1000 mA. I've gone through all the calculations and keep ending up with "0" resistance as the result, but I feel like I'm missing something.

I'm thinking I'll be cautious and solder on a .47 ohm/.5w resistor just to have something minimal in place, but would this be a scenario where I should simply lower the NBv3 drive parameter prior to getting the resistor just to test the overall setup?

It's 3.58 not 3.7. I just looked at the product page and it does say 3.7 but that is a typo. You should be fine with the .47 ohm.

Ah-ha, I knew something was up. Thanks.
