Using the basic saber build guide, I came up with the following parts list. I am building a custom hilt, so all I'm trying to go for are the internals for a LED and blade. I think I have everything although I'm unsure what to do about recharging the battery. Any help there and verification of the rest of my list would be great.

Note: I know I have two blades, I'm still deciding if I want to wait until the 3/4" is back in stock or just go with the 1". I also know I have multiple set screws in there. I need to figure out which will work best with my hilt but haven't have a chance yet :)

A few questions: What are the set screws for? Are you planning to use MHS hilt pieces or sinktube for the handle? Why the 3/4" blade? I ask about why because I have quite a bit of experience with 3/4" blades myself, and can tell you that they do not light up as well as the 1" or 7/8" sizes.

To recharge the battery, you will either need to install a recharge port on the saber, like this: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Switchcraft-21mm-Power-Jack-P822.aspx or get the charger with the adapter wire and charge the battery outside the saber: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Tamiya-to-JST-charger-adapter-P701.aspx http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/37V-148V-Li-Ion-Smart-charger-P129.aspx

Mostly this saber is for show, not dueling or anything, hence the very basic setup (also, its my first time so wanted to go simple) so I was thinking the smaller blade would be fine, but I do want it to light up nicely, so I'll probably go ahead with the 1" on your recommendation.

As for the set screws, (and the tapping kit), I'm going to be putting this into a 3D printed or resin cast hilt so the set screws are for holding the blade in (and tapping the holes for the screws).

Lastly, for this build at least, it sounds like I will probably go with the external charger to make things easier on myself.

Thanks so much!

I'm guessing you know this already, but just in case, but you will only need one screw for blade retention....any more just creates extra pressure points for the blade, and reduces it's contact with the sidewall of the socket resulting in a loose blade.

Yes, sir! I only plan to order a single one, just hadn't decided which yet :)

Ok, the list is all updated to eliminate duplicates and should be my final list : http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/ViewWishlist.aspx?ViewCode=ab4474b6-9204-4027-88bc-b60747046144
