Im glad to show you my first saber build! Anguish!

I really like the look of claw sabers so i decided to design a saber with somesort of claw attached to it.
The overal build was quite the challenge because i dont have any advanced machines to my proposal. So i ended up doing almost everything by hand except for drilling holes. But this made the build way more interesting and fun!! :) The saber is build out of modified mhs parts. The claw (crafted out of a piece of steel makes the hilt look quite brutal and this tends to make it look like a sith saber.
I also went for a relic-ish look, thats why i didnt use any lightup switches or accent LED's.I medium weathered the hilt with some black spray paint, but im not fully satisfied yet so i might do some more weathering. During the install i had alot of problems concerning the space. I really made optimal use of the space i had and the saber is pretty much stuffed now. I can edit the configurations by using R.I.C.E. the crytal chamber contains a real course quartz cristal and is lit up by a RGB LED.

I etched some celtic symbols into the bottom section. The pommel contains some etchings aswell (aurebesh).

Mmm, gritty and grimy. Just looking at it evokes the smell of an automotive repair shop. Love it.

Incredible first saber. It looks so tactile, like it's saying 'hold me, use me and I will guide you to the darkside'. Well done.

Congratulations on finishing your first saber, and you did an excellent job! I'm usually not a fan of claws, but I like this one. I like the weathering too.

The hilt has a lot of visual weight to it! It looks solid and begs to be hefted. Excellent work! If you don't mind me asking, what did you use on the ringed grip?
