Hi there, i recently purchased This (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221959024174?_trksid=p2057872.m2748.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) charger off ebay for my build. (i didn't buy one from here as i'm in Australia and postage was prohibitive)

I measured the output voltage before i tried it on my saber but measured the output voltage at 5.3v.

My understanding is that 18650 batteries should be charged at 4.2v. i'm concerned that the output voltage from this charger is way too high and will damage my battery, i'm not really concerned about that unless the battery catches fire and fries my nano biscotti.

is it the case that the voltage from the charger appears higher if the charger is not under load? and this is a normal reading, and that the output voltage will actually drop when plugged in?

I'll use this charger if i can otherwise i'll wait for a replacement from KR sabers.

Cheers.
