So has anybody made their own covertec button and belt clip?
I'm 15 without a constant income so i'm trying not to spend more than i have to :)

I could see something being done with a screw/bolt and some different sized washers for the knob. And perhaps a piece of thin gauge sheet metal with slits for the belt and a keyhole type cutout for the catch.

Just a thought.

Darth Chasm has you pointed in the right direction, Lowes sells something called a keyhole fastner (link below) that might be exactly what you're looking for. You could use the holes in it to secure it to your belt with bolts & a screw with a large enough head could be put on your saber to use for the knob.

Thanks guys!
I found a brass piece, epoxied a screw inside, than used a nut to fasten it inside.
But I could have used a Screw-Spacer(For a saber chassis)-Washer-Nut in that order.
For the clip I bent some aluminum and cut a curved slit so the saber won't somehow "Hop" out :)
But I'm content now and it beats $11.
I couldn't get the pics to upload, but here are the links to them.

Very ingenious. The button itself looks great.

I am testing out a CB mic clip with a TCSS made covertec. I had to clip away some material from the clip as opening wasn't wide enough. I did a pretty rough job of it, but it works well enough and the used and beaten look matches with the aesthetic I'm going for overall.

The retention clip works to some extent, but certainly not as securely as the proper Covertec.
