Mine would be Jay Gon Jinn. He has made awesome hilts out of just sink tubes and MHS parts.

Most of the top end smiths get paid for their creations. Is this an appropriate thread here, maybe it should be on FX-Sabers?

If we're leaving out the ones that do sabersmithing as a business, I'd say that Slothfurnace, Goodman, and Harp all make some amazing sabers. You can get some amazing inspiration by looking at their creations.

I would add Darth Chasm to that list.

I'd say my top 3 favorite saber smiths are Slothfurnace, LDM, and Madcow... too tough for me to pick 1 favorite!

I'll second DC. There's really been a lot of great work recently, I really enjoy reading about everyone's builds!

Madcow for sure, but thought we were omitting pro smiths. He inspired this whole endeavor, through my son finding his videos on youtube.

I don't say I'm my favorite smith because my sabers are game changers, i say it as motivation for myself.
So many folks have inspired me in this field, it's ridiculous. But to me, the whole idea is to take an idea, and expand and change it and make it my own. To find my own style. So I couldn't possibly pick a favorite.
