I have a PCB that has a B+, B-, and a P-. I dont see a P+. Would that be the back of the circuit board?

Question 2: any reason not to use a 5000mAh lithium ion battery. TCSS sells the 3400mAh. Why not a 5000mAh?

Check the datasheet for the PCB you have to make sure, but the most likely case is that B+ is meant to act as both B+ and P+.

3400mAh is the highest actual capacity you will get in an 18650 sized battery. If you see an 18650 cell rated higher, it's likely a fake rating. If the cell is larger than an 18650 and you have the room for it, go ahead.

thank you for the reply.

The only info available is listed on product description. It states the back of the board is P-. However there is a P- solder point on the top. The only one missing is P+. I'm thinking this maybe a misprint. The info is from an Amazon product description. Your answer makes more sense though..

B+ and P+ are usually the the same pad on 3.7v pcb's.
