NBv3 "clash" vs "Flash on Clash" settings

NBv3 question. What's the difference between the configurable parameters for "shmrd, shmrp, and shmrr" and "focd, focp, focr?" Their descriptions in the manual are identical except one says "clash" and the other says "Flash on Clash?" They're not the same? There is probably a simple explanation but I'm not getting it.

I believe one controls how the main LEDs behave during a clash, and the other controls how the flash on clash LED behaves during a clash.
