Problems with MPS Clip, need help.

Okay, this may sound stupid, but I can't get the MPS clip into place. The needle nose pliers I have keep slipping out of the holes, and the clip will go flying. Is there a trick I'm missing?

I ended up buying special needle nose pliers that would fit the clip. Also "snap pin pliers" would work.

Thanks. Fortunately, I don't need them for the build I'm doing tomorrow, so amazon has plenty of time to get them here before the next build, which will be whenever Tim restocks hilt bodies.

I had trouble with the MPS clip, too. None of the needle noses from my tool chest were small enough. I had to appropriate some from my wife's craft kit.

I believe Madcow made grooves in his needle nose pliers so the clip doesn't keep flying out when fitting. (It was in one of his vids).
