Adhesives for hilts

Hey y'all.

I have some spare brass strips lying around, and I was thinking to attach them to a hilt for grips. I was wondering if I was stuck drilling and tapping the hilts, or if epoxy or JB Weld would hold it well enough.

I also have some rubber strips as well. I was thinking to do just use epoxy on 'em.

Whaddaya think?

did that to me to when I went to reglue the wire things back onto my converted vader.
