View Full Version : NBv3 wiring diagram for first time build

Aloha everyone!
I've been lurking on here and a few other boards for quite some time now trying to get all the research done for my first build. I will be using the Graflex 2.0 and NBv3.

Here is my wiring diagram.
Could you please look it over and see if it is correct?

Could someone could tell me if my resistor values would work?
Here are the specs for BBW
-Blue Cree Part# XPEBBL-L1-0000-00301
45.7 Minimum Luminous Flux @ 350mA
Forward Voltage @1000mA = 3.47v
-White Cree Part# XPEBWT-L1-0000-00F51
266 Minimum Luminous Flux @ 1000mA
Forward Voltage @1000mA = 3.15v
Based on formula, I need a .23 ohm with .23w for the blues(ordered .47ohm 0.5w resistor) and .55ohm and .55w for the white(ordered 1ohm 2w resistor).

Also, do you think I can use one .47ohm 0.5w resistor for both the blue LEDs?

For anyone interested, here is my parts list so far with almost everything from TCSS.
NBv3
Switchcraft 2.1mm Power Jack
Panasonic Li-Ion 18650 3.7V 3400mAh PCB Protected Rechargeable Battery
Custom Tri-Cree LED with modified base (.88") in BlueBlueWhite
.88" OD Heatsink Module with center hole
18 deg Tri-Cree Star Lens
Star Thermal tape pad
SPST Momentary switch with black button
Premium 28mm 2W Speaker
.47ohm .5w resistor
1oh, 2w resistor
1/16" heatshrink
28awg wires in multiple colors(eBay)

Any advice/help would be much appreciated :-D

Oh and would you recommend tapping by inserting the wire into the other?

Does it matter? Is there a difference in deciding which wire to tap?

For the resistors is there a right side vs wrong side to connect like a +/- issue?

Based on things I've read and been told it is best to resistor each led separately.

Just starting my build and I will also be adding a resistor to each LED. Seems like the best option from the veteran builders.
