Soundboard info?

I'm new to the whole lightsaber building world and something has been confusing me lately. A lot of light sabers I have seen recognize when they're being swung or hit and make noises accordingly, does the average sound board have built in gyroscope technology or do you have to wire something like that in seperatly?

The modern sound boards, like the ones sold at TCSS, all have good quality motion sensor chips built in.
