Is there a way to convert the saber to have the activation box work as a button for the mpp replicas.. like the ones on parksabers.com?

Yes.

Search around and you'll find info on putting micro switches under the bubble strip. I can't think of any specific threads right now though. Look up graflex builds too in your searches as they utilize the same basic principle
