Trying to find out how much length on the hilt a Replica MPP clamp takes up. I can't find it listed anywhere (my search-fu isn't the greatest, but I should have found something by now). I know we don't want to divulge any proprietary info, but could someone please give me a close guess? MTFBWY

I don't have an authentic MPP, but my MR '05 Vader's is 1.75" (44-45mm) at the base of the box, add a 16th"/1mm for the black strap around the hilt. Several less authentic (cheaper) Vader toys keep these dimensions pretty consistently.

Thank You. Any chance a PLI (power level indicator) would fit where the bubble strip goes?

Have you tried this part http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/PLI-Power-Level-Indicator-For-Box1-P1059.aspx

vrethos, yes I have seen that box. Thanks. I was just wondering/hoping that the dimensions could work with the MPP clamp as I really like those aesthetics much better. Worst case, maybe drill the side of the box and mount a clamp?

On the same topic I am curious on the size of the PLI ( http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/PLI-Power-Level-Indicator-P267.aspx ) and whether it would be able to fit inside of the Activation Box ( http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Activation-box-style-1-updated-design-P354.aspx ) or not. I want to incorporate a PLI into the design I'm making but I still want to keep my saber as streamlined as I can since I plan to later add on slip on shrouds ( example: http://www.shapeways.com/product/BPDFMRKC9/slide-on-shroud-2?li=shop-results&optionId=43231512 ) to add a bit more individuality to my build. So if the PLI, without switch, can't be used with the Activation Box how difficult would it be to incorporate it into the hilt?

If anyone has already used the PLI successfully and has any pictures I'd greatly appreciate their first hand experience and depending on how well I can work it into a lightsaber I may or may not include it in a blaster pistol / rifle idea I"m also working on.

Thanks in advance.

I ended up getting the MPP Clamp and my new/revised plan is to mount a PLI, RICE Port and Recharge Port in the body with a cutout in the MPP Clamp to be rotated as a reveal.
