Hello all,
Preparing for my first build and I am a bit confused with some of the info I've found regarding led forward voltage. I'm planning on using the tri cree, r/r/w/ with white isolated for foc, and the site states the led forward voltage as 2.59v@1000mA. However, as I've been lurking and reading for some time now, the consensus seems to be that reds should be run closer to 2v@750mA... So, my confusion is, can I use the 2.59v for my resistance calculations even though I'm intending to run it at the recommended 750mA...or is there a calculation to find the forward voltage at my desired mA that I'm missing. Thanks to all in advance and sorry if this has been covered previously...I have been looking, lol.

Welcome to the Forums.

I think your reading had confused you a little. Most of the things you read (2V and 750mA for Reds) were for the older Rebel Reds. The Tri-Cree Reds you can run at 2.6V and 1000mA (1A).

Thank you so much for the clarification. This was the only barrier left in my path, lol.
