Hiya,

Is there any way I can find the dimensions for the parts sold here? I'm thinking blueprint style drawings. I'm having a lot of difficulty judging parts compatibility based on the pictures alone.

Thanks!

I don't think Tim will post detailed blueprints for his parts. It would allow other machinists to copy his work with very little effort.

If you want to see how parts fit together, take a look at the MHS builder: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/mhsbuilder/mhsbuilder.php?tabid=38

If you need to know the ID and OD of the various parts, look in this thread: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?2031-Learn-about-the-Modular-Hilt-System-aka-MHS

I've been through the links but trying to determine which parts are / are not compatible with each other is very problematic. I'm trying to draft CAD schematics for a sabre but without accurate dimensions its futile...

Usually, you "create" the hilt you want, post a picture of it, along with what you think you want to go inside, and then the more experienced people will look over your list and make any suggestions/corrections as they see fit.

All the MHSv1 parts are compatible with each other. The only thing you have to keep track of is the male and female ends.

All of the MHSv2 parts are compatible with each other. Again, just keep track of male and female ends.

MHSv1 parts do not directly connect to MHSv2 parts. There are adapters for connecting the v1 and v2 sets together, if that's something you want to do.
