Meet my custom saberstaff :D

First MHS system i've actually owned, and i've fallen in love with it.

A lot smaller than a standard saberstaff, decided to go without sound for this one and make the extra room for batteries. Feels very nice in the hand though, but will have a very unique spin / fighting style. In whole, it's only a cm or so larger than a full SF Epoch saber.

This one was put together by JQ after I designed and discussed the idea with them, and I absolutely love it... definitely got the saber bug now :D

Very cool!! I like how concise the whole thing is. Not long and bulky. Bravo!

thanks... it's definitely got a unique feel to it.

i've just tried a few spins with it... very odd feeling, instead of two hands for a spin, you end up having to slide it between hands and replace grips on a turn.

odd, but very unique... and damn fast, the smaller size means the spin circle is very tight :D

Very cool saber.

And nice shirt! You could definitely pull off the Night-wing look if you wanted.

Okay, +1 for the Nightwing/Barbara Gordon cosplay! PICTURES!! :)

Oh yeah, the saber is sweet too! ;) I really like what you did with the dual Satele blade holders. Specs man! Does it have sound? If so, where did you do the sound venting?

thanks guys :D

no, no sound... sacrificed sound for the length and extra battery space...

just a stunt for now... already planning out a second to see if i can make a temple guard staff out of MHS bits and shroud work lol

Reminds me of Exar Kun's double-bladed saber, at least in the length. Definitely cool.

That's cool. I actually have a design saved somewhere using that blade holder in an eerily similar fashion. Same colored details and a veeery similar pattern.
So basically, I like your style.

thanks :D

currently designing up a second saberstaff now for my collection.

been bouncing around the idea for a while now and it's evolved nicely... just needs some grooves machining into it for grip... but very satisfied with the design now.

18.5 inches, longer than my current staff, but still within my comfort size for a staff... bright yellow blades for this one though.

Trying to emulate Bastila Shan's saberstaff from the original KOTOR game.
