Wiring a basic saber with nbv2 . Earlier I got a bootup sound when inserting battery, but I wired the switch incorrectly. After rewiring, the switch works, and the led flickers as it should with the nbv2. But no sound at all. No bootup or anything. So I took out the led and switch and just hooked up nbv2 to the battery and speaker and still no sound. Did I short my board out while I was working? and if so how can I tell and go about solving the issue.
Thanks guys

Stupid question, but did you solder with the sound card in?

I did forget to take it out at one point. The files come okay on my computer though if that means anything.
Thanks so much

Check for any bubbles or black spots on your board, Soldering with the card in seems like a common mistake.

I would try (while the card is removed) rewiring everything up, replacing the speaker (if you have a spare), re-inserting the card, and then powering it up.

If it works but you still don't have sound, we would need to see good, high quality, closeups of your wiring on the NB and the speaker. If you blew the speaker, it would need to be replaced. If it is the amp (more likely), you can have it sent off for repair (fee and shipping charges apply).

just ordered a new speaker. I guess ill be back in a few days with an update. How much do these repairs usually cost, seeing that the nbv2 is on the cheaper side of sound boards, would the repair cost more than the board itself?
Thanks so much again guys

No, it doesn't cost more than the board itself, I'd guess it likely wouldn't be more than $16-20 (shipping included).

I'll have Zook stop by, but it's usually the cost of shipping ($6 if in the US) plus the cost of the part(s).

No, do not send it to the shop....you'll need to contact Zook and get his shipping information to send a board in for repair.
