finished pics on page 2

Hello everyone! A few weeks ago when that shinny new Brass AV switch showed up in the store I intantly wanted to make a new saber with it. So I've started making the hilt. No electronics as of yet just getting the aesthetics ironed out and going to work on the color scheme and then decide on my electronics.

Its all modified TCSS parts
main body 1
emitter 2
pommel 4
and of coarse that Brass AV switch.

Love how clean and sleek this is. The brass AV is a nice touch. I would try to add some more brass colored bits

I like what you've done with the pommel and I love the blade holder.

The hilt as a whole is a little plain, but not necessarily boring. It looks nice.

Honest question. Have you ever looked on amazon for AV switches? Don't get me wrong saber shop has a nice deal on the ones they have, but there are some beautiful colors out there that work sooooo well with TCSS powder coats.

i did it myself on the lathe. its a fun tool as long as you don't ignore the whole 'If I'm careless I can rip my arm/head/face off' aspect of it.

Played around with some different colors. I think I may get another BH and make it trans gold too an see how that looks. Probably going to do some etching too.

Yikes, well said. I've been really waffling as to whether to invest in a lathe or not. What make/model of lathe are you working on, may I ask?

its a grizzly G0602 10x22 its serves me well for my purposes. although it takes a some added accessories to get it right.

Is the transparent gold a powder coating?

Ah, nice! That 22" bed length must be nice and roomy. Yep, I can image spending nearly half the price of the lathe on accessories alone, but your work proves it's worth.

Very nice. That thing before you buy where you can send your build to someone to build it for you, could you modify some parts similar? I have a build in mind I'd like to do =] Will take some time to actually get the rest of the stuff needed though like always x.x

Sweet saber, Snilam! Clean and well machined. Is the Aux. switch a custom build at all? Seems very ergonomic.

That is an incredibly classy saber. Looks a little inspired by Darth Revan? Especially if you'd put just a little black in it.
