Curved saber question

I've figured everything out about the saber I want except one thing. How do I bend the copper or aluminum tubing that's 1.25 inch, without huying a $300 piece of hardware? Anyone have a suggestion?

you could go to a machine shop and ask them for a quote, shouldnt be too expensive as a tube bender does the job in seconds

I've seen tube benders that are just springs that you slide inside the tube to prevent the tube from kinking. Granted the ones I've seen are designed for much smaller diameter tubes but I'm sure you can find a spring for a lot less than $300. Google -- "tube bending spring" if you're curious.
