New (ish) weathering on old saber

So I've had this hilt off and on for about a year or so now. It was built, sold, a couple of the pieces changed around, and then sold back to me. When I got it back this is what I had....

Still pretty plane Jane. I really didn't want to do paint, and I'm not convinced that I would do any better with a home powder coating kit. So I sucked it up and pulled out my paint and sand paper. Of course after making a few changes to the wiring, pommel, main switch, LED color (Cree GGR now btw), and rearranging the chassis and PC 2.0 that had been there for awhile.

Lit up so you can see the ridiculous green, although the camera does not do it near the credit as seeing it in person.

So that's my latest. I'm still stalling on my other two projects. Really waiting on an idea to hit me to finish one of them up. I'll put up pictures when that one is done. ;)

Its a Cree GGR. Red for FOC not really sure where I got it to be honest. LOL :D So many floating around my bin.....

Nice. I like the blade color. How does the hilt feel without having say an extra extension piece or choke on? I thought you had to have a bit more extra length on the main hilt? Probably makes spinning a dream though :P

The extension on the end actually helps balance it better when the blade is installed. I'm usually using a 34" (32" installed) with this one. Makes for nice tight defense, good for CQB. With out the extension, its really a bit tip heavy, especially with a thick walled blade.
It really does help the spinning, I'm not getting any younger ;) so I'll take all the help I can get.

I actually like the look of the pommel end though but was just curious of how the emitter end would feel/look without anything being there. Like usually some sabers would have a choke at least :P My build is gonna have one though
