Lightsaber hilts made with wood?

i was going to make a vader hilt outa wood and stain the different parts accordingly to the real colors. like the emitter would be stained ebony(black) the hilt would be stained with danish oil, the grips and the clamp will be stained ebony, and if it were just a display saber the blade would be stained redwood (red)

they have a real nice Ane Skywalker training saber in their gallery
though almost looks like you could replicate this out of MHS sections a few parts of it it's like the pommel are like MHS'
