Switch hole advice needed

This may be a question for Strydur or FJK. Can you put a 16mm Recessed AV switch hole in the middle of a 2" double female extension, is there room enough between threads?

Having asked that question to Tim before I can answer yes he told me you can tho I found a 12mm to be a perfect fit in a 2" extension.

Judging by the MHS builder, I would say yes.

I thought so too as the sample picture for a 16mm recessed hole is shown in what looks like a 2" section
I guessed at 1/2" of thread each end and 1" in between to play with
