Hi everyone,

I want to upgrade my 2 sabers soon, and that includes a recharge port. Both run on a single 18650.
Now it seems like I can't get a matching charger anywhere.
They are out of stock here (and just ordering a 10$ charger with 40$ shipping seems excessive), and I haven't managed to find a matching charger anywhere else.
There are plenty of smart chargers where you put the battery in directly, but none with the 2.1mm jack.

Since I live in germany, can someone please provide me with a link where I can get one (or another solution, maybe I can rig one up myself?).
Amazon or something similar maybe? Even if it is US.

Thanks!

Get a 2.1mm jack and a smart charger. Solder the jack connections directly to the recharge terminals. It's an ugly hack, but it'll work.

You could also rig up a battery adapter of sorts out of nonconductive material. Attach some conductive material to the ends, and solder the recharge jack connections to those. Then you could put in your battery adapter when you needed it, without messing up your charger.

Thanks, I was thinking about option 1. Nice to hear someone else would be that crazy :-)
I'll do that.

I'm not crazy, I'm just unconventional! :)

Also, I know how to improvise when I don't have the parts or tools I need.

Ok, I'm at the point where the saber is ready and I want to try recharging it.

I use the MWS recharge port, and the saber works perfectly, Plugged between the 18650 and the NB.
Here is where I'm overly cautious for now:
11324
This is my charger and 2.1mm plug.

Do I connect red on the plug (where the positive of the 9V battery normally goes) to the positive side of the charger (the top)?
Or is it, by some reason I'm too dumb to get, the other way around? :D Wouldn't want to fry the Nano.
Especially since I spent countless hours on this hilt:

Red goes to positive, black to negative.
