Ok so i did the math with a royal blue luxeon rebel and a green led momentary and i just wanted to check before i buy resistors? Also i dont understant the nc1, nc2, no1, no2, c1, c2

Rebel star

R= (3.7-3.2)/1 = 0.5ohms
P= 0.5*1 = 1w

So would i need a 0.5 ohm 1 watt resistor or a 1ohm 1watt resistor?

Switch LED

R= (3.7-3.3)/0.020 = 20ohms
P= 20*0.0004 = 0.008w

I hope i did that one right but i cant find a resistor that works with that. I guess the dyna-ohm?

0.5 * 1^2 = 0.5. You'll want a 0.5 ohm 0.5 watt resistor. The 0.47 ohm 0.5 watt resistor in the store will work.

The math is correct for your accent LED. The next standard sized resistor is 22 ohm. Find one in 1/8 watt or greater, and you'll be good. Or you can use the DynaOhm. Either will work.

For your switch: C1, NO1, and NC1 work as one switch, while C2, NO2, and NC2 work as another. You can safely ignore the "2" group.

C stands for "Common", NO stands for "Normally Open", and NC stands for "Normally Closed". Connect one of your switch wires to the C1, and the other to NO1. The switch will be "Normally Open", meaning power is cut in the default position.

I don't know what i was thinking with the blade led 1w lol thank you for catching that. But before i make a wiring diagram what are the meaning of the ports on the switch? i've been looking and i cant find a explination of those (nc1/2,no1/2 and c1/2).

I edited my previous post explaining the switches while you were posting. If it's not clear, let me know.

Would this be how i would wire it for a obsidian board? The ultrasaber i took it out of just used a normal momentary with no led and had no indication of what the posts were.

I don't know the specifics for that particular board. But if your previous switch was a normal two-post momentary switch, then the C1 and NO1 posts would be equivalent in operation.

so if i needed a dyna-ohm tonight and frys electronics doesnt sell that, any ideas of something like it?

You can manually figure out which resistor you would need and then try to buy that one. I have a tutorial that covers that floating around here somewhere.
