Y'know, you'd think that they'd clean up the hero version of the saber before putting it on eBay. Seriously, I've seen other replicas that look way better.

In the high-end prop world clean up is a BIG no-no. It devalues it whether it looks better or not. They want it as used.

You'd be suprised how much of crap props usually look like on screen. Go to www.therpf.com and check out some. There is an ugnaught restoration thread and a recent newly "discovered" stormtrooper that all would give you a view of restoration.

Both of those are extremes. The ugnaught would have fallen apart if not restored, but the stomie bucket they aren't going to touch.

With 50k one could buy a house, a car and have cash to spend for 6 months.

IMO not worth it.

profiles - in - history has had a lot of star wars props pulled for them being s t o l e n or fake, they had the R2 jedi dome on last week for 100000 and now I can't find that one, lol go figure.
