My son and I did some serious dealing today. He's 9, but he has lots of martial arts experience (as do I) so we can move pretty fast. He used the new saber, above. With the brass, the thick choke, etc., it is fairly heavy for lots of combat. I'll be looking at a more lightweight design in the future. I'm also thinking some sort of piece to protect knuckles would be good. Finally, I need to rethink placement of the aux switch. It needs to be on the bottom so it can be activated with the trigger finger. My current project, though, is a saber for ME. I've been using a Hasbro, which is partially destroyed from lots of battles. I can't wait til we both have custom sabers from TCSS parts.
