Looks good to me Tim. I went through everything and it all seemed to work fine for me. The only thing I wasn't sure about is in when you login to your account on the main page to look at orders, change information like email etc. or do billing etc. In the shipping address section there was no address given. I hit the change button and couldn't get it to show up even to change either. I don't know if this is a problem or how it is suppose to work. I just thought I would let you know. Thanks Tim.

I know that I'm not a very big forum user, but here are my thoughts:
- very nice design, a bit clearer and simpler than the other. Easier to use.
-the menu section on the right is good, but it could be better...
The "under titles" should maube be both on the right and under the headline in the menu to the right. In this way you don't have to go back all the time, you just click where you want to go.
Example: if you are where the photos are, you shouldn't need to go back to choose andother under category...

That is weird James. I just tried it again and when I login on the main page it throws up several errors, but even when I get through them it doesn't show my address like it used to do. Maybe it is some error on my part though. You never can really rule that one out when it comes to me. :lol:

About a month ago I transfered over as much user info as I could. Your address's did not transfer over do to the way the two databases are setup. So most of you can log in but will still need to re-enter your address's the first time you purchase on the new site. I know about the home button issue..that will be fixed when the store goes live.

The forums are going to end up integrated into the store..you can see how this will look by clicking on the forums link while in the store. You cant log in to the forum from inside the store at the moment though since it redirects you out. That will be fixed when I get the ok that the store is good to go.

I was adding stuff to my wish list, and every time i try to add a Ribbed extension piece it would take a really long time, then it would log me out and add it to a guest wish list??? I dont know if its done that to anyone else, but its annoying me.... :?

Get a bigger monitor =) Actually by far the current most common resolution is 1024x768. At this resolution all you are loosing on most of the forum is dead space anyways. Maybe when someone posts a large pic you will get scroll bars but besides that it shouldnt really make a difference.

Yes I use that resolution but I have a gateway ev700 16in moniter.

But I dont know my moniter is messed up and makes things look smaller than they already are. and if I go to the next resolution it makes the icons and stuff way to small.

At 16" you should be fine at the native resolution. I'm on a 15.4" widescreen laptop and have no issues. You are aware changing icon and text size is pretty trivial too?

Well now I have 3 scroll bars, the side-to-side and up and down dont bother me much when loking at pics but now I have another up and down bar that moves everything else up and down.

How did I get 3 scroll bars?

You have the menus on the left expanded..they dont stay expanded once you select a menu so the bar will go away.

One thing I noticed on the new store/forum combo was that when i went to
a new topic that was yellow (new post), when it opened none of the topics would be in the yellow color. Only pinned topics are. Does that make any sense?

well at 1024x768 you would be fine if it wasnt for large pics and signature images. But since we cant do away with those I need sugestions on what to do. I know people can break out of the frames but then there is no link on top for the store etc. I guess the best way would be to just go back to how it was. Any suggestions?

I changed it back. Maybe when the standard is a 30" widescreen monitor this wont be a problem.

Looks like a little format issue and the color of the menu options is hard to see in the red background.....

I was sitting in the online store and then hit the forums button in the left frame. I went back to the main page and hit the forum link in the menu and it looks the same.

I tryed FF and I was dissapointed with it. So I stick with my IE6 which I have never had a problem with.

All the crap that ff changed I did not like, like I couldent designate where I wanted saved items to go so I was stuck looking for the items. and just generally pissed me off.

IE6 keeps me happy.

I use both FF 2.0 and IE7 on a daily basis with my employment. My company is ultra heavy web based. We power the Internet!! (sound familiar?)

Both have strengths and weaknesses..

In the end, webpages can be made to accomodate both. Just takes some tweeking of the banners and graphics.

I'm all the sudden having problems with the forums now since you upgrading things I have to log in twice everytime to get it to accept me and it won't automatically log in anymore and it's not showing me which posts are new posts whats going on?

Make sure that your link to open the forum looks like this or you are using the link from the store front. Also empty out your cache and try it then.

step 2. clear your browser cookie
step 3. clear your browser cache/temporary internet files
step 4. close your browser
step 5. go back and test

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, regarding the text in the red bar at the top of the forums.

Any chance of getting it slightly changed? It's hard for me to read, due to small size and the colours. My partial colour-blindness may have something to do with this, but I don't think so.

Yeah its is kinda hard to read I think its cause the blue and the red are clashing togeather, maybe if it was a black?

Yeah, the trouble is that red and blue have similar gray values, so when you put them atop each other there's not enough contrast (plus you get that weird optical "vibration" effect.) Black would be better, but if it were my choice I would go with white for optimal contrast.

I do prepress and graphic design for a living, and I try to ward my customers away from color combinations that hurt to look at. ;)

I think its just unintentional, I mean why wouldn't tim want someone to add any products to their wishlist? More profit. If it is because he won't carry/fabricate anymore, he should jst take them off site. (except fer bragging that he used to make them :))

Its intentional because someone could add products to thier wishlist that where out of stock and then when they made a order out of the wishlist it would allow them to order out of stock items.
