On the box, yes. Just a visual preference, having the switch slightly countersunk.
(Not unlike the recessed hole service for main hilt tubes.)

You would really have to ask Tim. He might not be able to just because there wouldn't be enough left for the threading for the actual switch.

Fair enough. I'll send him a note, and not a prob if it can't be done. This is really a what if / curiosity kind of thing for me.
