View Full Version : Making a custom accent LED housing

I needed some sort of housing to hold an accent LED--something that would fit in a 5mm hole. I started rummaging through the garage and found a needle in a pump. You know, the kind used for pumping up soccer balls. It was precisely 5mm. I clipped the needle off, drilled a hole, and voila: a simple way to mount an accent LED in a (modified) ignition box. Very simple and it looks really cool.

I added a silicone rubber trim ring that people use for making bracelets.
