I broke a part off of my Petit Crouton 3.5. I circled it in this photo from the manual.

10879

The entire pad on the board came off with it on one end. All that is left on the board is a very tiny piece of wire, metal, or something. It is so small, I can't really see it.

I'm hopeful that I can put it back on and have no issues. But if I do have issues once it is back on, I'd like to have some idea as to what is related to the part and perhaps what is caused by something else. So, what does that part do?

Thanks.

You would need to send it to Zook for repairing. That part helps deal with power as I recall.

That is a capacitor and it needs to be there.

IF you can scrape away the masking material to expose the underlying copper trace you can solder to that. If you are unable to I can repair it for you. I replied to your email about it.
