That's a great looking build! You should have plenty of room for your electronics...the alignment of your ports and switches kiiks good... Only thing I would suggest is scrapping the box style 1, since it is clearly decorative. I think you will find them incredibly unwieldy if you plan on spinning it around.

Aside from that, everything looks very well thought out and looks great. Let us know if you have questions at install time!

I would like to have the box 1 to house a bar graph and to set it apart.
I think i shouldn't have a prob with it because the length of it.
i sent this to TCSS for Quote on the parts and Machine service i hope to here back.
one thing bugs me is that i am left handed and is it set up for it.

Thanks

Looks good only thing is have 2 boxes next to each other is a little weird. Im with ty_bomber get rid of box 1 or use box 1 to hold some swithes and ports and get rid of box 9. If going for aesthetics keep box 1, if dueling and spinning keep box 9. Also with your rice port and recharge port directly opposite of each other it will be hard to get them in especially if threading them from the inside of the hilt.

the reason for box 9 is to allow to put RICE port and 2nd mom switch in from the inside.
the power switch and recharge port can be installed in to box 9 and then put in from the outside
so i am not knocking wires and connections around trying to get them in.

If you offset the rice and recharge port, it won't be a problem.

I like the design. Looks cool. Reminds me of Starkiller's lightsaber actually. Hope everything goes well for your build. Just think it through

And actually looking at the first pic where the retention screw is planned at, I just feel that wouldn't be enough room to hold the blade in good. I say put the screw in on the other side more up the slanted part if possible. Just an idea on that though

That is the exact opposite of what he should do. It needs to have emitter on the other side of the blade to create tension. If he had it farther up on the shroud, it wouldn't be pressing his blade up against anything, therefore making it less secure. If anything, it should be lower.

Ive used that blade holder before. Retention screw where its pictured works great, like tybomber said you want the screw to press the blade onto where the side of the blade holder that will have the most contact area.

:) keep your original design. Both boxes and all. That's what makes it yours...original ;) Every Jedi/Sith builds their lightsaber according to their own style. All that said, I dig :) ;) I like the set up (even the two boxes) its very unique, and nobody can say you didn't put the work into something (design) to really make it work.
I'd like to see it when you are done. So keep us posted :) please

That's a great color scheme you've got going there. Reminds me of R2D2.

I have to admit that when i was figuring out the color R2D2 did not cross my mind but 3 days after putting it together i thought the same thing.

Nice job, and great looking saber

It has a CF7.5 and Cex so with the LED set up and color changing makes it look cool
but left me no room to put a crystal chamber in.
I will do that on my next saber
It was fun the etching was not hard i recommend to use a vinyl stencil.
