Question about MR rubber strips

I have an extensive collection of MRs...

Question I have is that recently the rubber grip strips on the Vaders & Anakin Ep3 have become sticky to the touch; is there a way to cure this???


Any answers to this are most appreciated.

I actually just cleaned mine up the other day and used Black Magic Tire Wet Foam. It did a fantastic job on them. The stickiness is completely gone and they look great.

Don't know if anyone with more experience may have a better idea.
