Hello all,

First, I am sorry if this is not in the right section. I am trying to build a hilt with the most discreet switches possible and was looking at the tactile switches on the website.More specifically I am looking at http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/SPST-Momentary-tactile-switch-P285.aspx I've been looking at specs for these on other websites at it says that these switches only support 0.5a at 50v.

So my question is would I be able to use these switches for a main switch to turn on a Petit Crouton and also use it for my aux switch? Second question is does anyone have any experience using these switches with this holder http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MHS-double-tactile-switch-ring-P897.aspx And my last question is does anybody have the dimensions for these switches if possible.

Thanks

Yes, those switches are fine for a Petit Crouton. The switch pads are ~20mA if I remember correctly, well below the 500mA rating of the switch.

That holder was custom designed for those switches. It will hold them quite securely. I don't have the dimensions on them, but they're fairly small. The activation post can always be cut down if it sticks out too far for your taste.

Howdy, I would say yes to both your questions. Those switches will handle both Main and Aux. I've been using them for a very long time. As for the switch holder that is a new experience for me as well, so this may be helpful for figuring out how to get your switches mounted

Hope that helps. Good luck with your build.
