First off, Welcome to the Forums.

While those look nice, they are too big for the sabers we typically use, they need roughly 3 times the voltage and current than what our currently battery solutions provide. "More" isn't always "better".

That's what I was wondering: Would they actually fit. If not then there's not much point.

The other thing to consider when looking at trying a new led is the optics that are available. Welcome to TCSS!

They actually have optics, and with the narrow beam focusing we look for.
However, the PCB is definitely too big, 40mm, there's no way to fit them in a standard hilt.

Actually I'm planning on making my own hilt, if nothing else shipping from the US for heavy items like metal tubes is prohibitively expensive, but even so you're right, it is too wide. Probably should have checked that first. Good news is I've found a decently stocked LED store in Germany, so that should make life easier.
