So I've decided to go with the new prizm sound board. After reading the manual, I've noticed that the max for the accent LED's is 3.3v @ 18mA for the board but all the AV switches I want to use need at least 2.0v @ 20 mA. Also it will require a resistor. My question: is having a resistor going to allow me to run the switches I want even though the max mA on the board is lower then the LED mA? Thanks!!!

It will work fine. The LEDs will still light at much less than the 20mA listed. Running them at 18mA won't even cause a noticeable difference in brightness.

I think im more worried about hurting the board running 2mA higher LEDs then what the board calls for

So long as you're using a resistor, you'll be fine. We've been running 20mA LEDs on these pads for years and years. 2mA is small enough that it'll fall within the 5% tolerance of most resistors anyhow.

You'll be fine. 2mA is really nothing in the grand scheme of things.
