So My friend and I were dueling and every so often if he hit really hard it would restart with the boot sound right after the clash. But then he could turn it on again and it would work fine again.

Is this a fault of my wiring perhaps? Has this occurred to anyone else? what might the cause be?

Sounds like you may have an intermittent short, or somehow your board is touching the inside of the hilt when it gets hit real hard, a short occurs and then it reboots.

Another possibility is that if you have removable batteries in a battery holder, they can briefly lose connection during a very hard strike, causing a reboot.

SS I do not have removable batteries . FJK I will check my chassis and wiring again

Some how the board came loose from the chassis so FJK was right it probably was hitting the inside of the hilt. I guess I did not fully have the board all the way into the chassis....But I believed I have fixed the problem! thanks for the diagnosis!

Maybe also check the recharge port if you have one. Same what you described happened to me last week with a PCv3, worked fine, up until a clash, then at each clash reboot. So I disassembled the sword, well, to be honest I still no not know what was the root cause, but I traced it to the recharge port, it was firmly screwed into the pommel, so I removed it, turned it left and right, rescrew it and problem disappeared. Probably - like suggested above - an intermittent short caused by the sudden jerk.

Good to know I will keep that in mind if it happens again
