Well, I learned more from this build, its my second time making a saber. I also learned that I might need a new pommel on this one because my girlfriend mentioned it does look a bit phallic, perhaps too phallic. However, that said I didnt rush this build so much and was a bit more thoughtful on hiding any adhesives and using actual mounting hardware for the bits and parts.

I wanted to shoot for a KoTOR relic with this one.

I hope to graduate to using and integrating some electronics on these projects soon.

Edit to add the updated pommel

Wow, I love this one, it's a real relic. At the same time it has a sinister touch as well. I could well imagine Darth Maul having assembled this blade during his exile on the trash planet.
I dig the clockwork pommel and the PCB surrounding the emitter. Now I'm exited to see what blade color you select for this Blade Lich!

Thank you ... I dont think there is enough purchase to actually put a blade in this. I think it might just end up a prop, but I did learn a few things making it and I hope to make more someday soon.

Welcome to the Forums!

That's got a nice steampunk feel to it.

Thank you!

hey you wouldnt happen to know, where I could get a blindingly bright, super loud, saber running 1138 blinkies off of the cheapest sound card I can get AND I want all of it to run on a battery the size of a dime, and run for a very, VERY long time, do you?

You're funny. As a matter of fact, I do. It's a place called Fantasyland. It's right there in the Magic Kingdom. ;)
