madcow's Hero font has beep before boot sound on CF7

I recently downloaded mad cow's hero font, but for some reason there is always a beep beep beep before any boot sound is initiated. I've tried deleting the entire font bank and reuploading it, switching out boot sounds etc. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions? (note the boot sound still plays but after the annoying beeps)

Sounds like you don't have the menu file in the right place, or properly named. That's what the 3 beeps usually means.

I don't see a menu file in any of my sound fonts. Is that the same thing as font.wav? I don't get the beeps with any of the other sound fonts.

It would be in the "root directory" may say something like one.wav? I have to review the new file layouts...

EDIT: It is also possible that one wasn't included...

Yes, it is. See if there is a font.wav in that bank.

there was a font.wav in the root directory for the hero font. Should that be added into the root of the sd card?

Not in this version. Is there a config.txt file in that particular sound bank?
