Since I've started to tinker with the Rechargeable batteries I think that is the way to go.

I'm using Tim's Rechargeable pack and I'm using Energizer Rechargeable in my old 4-AAA pack.

As far as Non-Rechargeable batteries, I'd go with Energizer's E2 Lithiums. (My Bro-in-law works for Energizer)

The biggest thing is to fork over the extra $$ and get Name Brand Quality batteries. They have more power and last longer in both Rechargeable and Non-Rechargeable. So with the extra demand of the LUX and any Sound Board you may have, it's worth the investment.

I'm giving the newbies a little more patience these days due to the fact that the search blows since the forum changeover.

Search was starting to blow on the old one. It happens when a forum gets bigger.

Jester, for the most part I agree but isn't this in the thread index?

Probably not... battery threads don't rank high on my priorities list. If it isn't I could always add one.

We had like one HUGE discussion on this though. I think we covered every darn battery type made.
