View Full Version : Once again, first time builder and I need help with my list.

Hey everyone, I'm looking to build my first saber and would like for someone what i need to remove or add from my list and any other suggestions. I am completely new to all of this and would really like some help.

Heres my list:
MPS Pommel style 10
LED "Corbin style" Show blade 1" OD (36 inches)
Rebel Star LED & MHS Heatsink Module
Hilt Style 1 (7" Double female threaded connector)
MPS Clip
MHSV1 Blade Holder Style 18
Brass MPS Insert style 6
MHS Extension Blank Style 3
Activation box style 10
Box 9,10, and 17 Mounting holes service
4-40 Button Head
Machined button for Covertec clip
8-32 x 1/4" socket head
8-32 x 1/8" button head screw
2AA Battery holder
270ohm 1/4w resistor
Dual 24 gauge wire (sold by the foot)
1/8" Heatshrink tubing
BuckPuck 1000mA 4-wire Green LED indicator

Im pretty suer this list is completely screwed so someone please help

I don't see any type of switch or a battery pack in your list.

What battery pack do you suggest?

I'd say a 7.4v li-ion pack. Minimum voltage for that buckpuck is 5v.

Edit: Looking over your list again, you have a 2AA battery holder listed. I'd wait for FJK to confirm this, but if your planning on using regular alkaline batteries I don't think you'll have enough voltage for that buckpuck. Not to mention low battery life.

RavenXp is correct. You would need two 14500 rechargeable Li-ion batteries (which fit into the AA holder) to power the BuckPuck.
